Top 5 Stressbusting Tips!
I've been rather nervous and stressed over the last few days because of a musical I'm doing but I've found some great ways of chilling out. So here they are!
- Listen to a meditation or relaxation recording. My favorites are My Thought Coach (podcast), Paul McKenna's Control Stress CD & Andrew Johnson's Relax iPhone app.
- Write a journal. This can help get all your thoughts out of your brain so you're less likely to stress about them! If you don't feel secure enough to write them on paper, why not try www.penzu.com which is a free, secret online journal?
- Rescue Remedy spray is one of my hand bag must haves! Having suffered from panic attacks this little spray full of helpful plant extracts & other active ingredients really does give you a calm feeling when you're a little overwhelmed. Practice some deep breathing techniques while you take a break: http://panicdisorder.about.com/od/livingwithpd/a/deepbreathing.htm
- I find a nice bath helps you chill out - Lush do the most fantastic bath bomb called 'Waving Not Drowning' packed full of calming ingredients such as lavender. But hurry, word is they're discontinuing it!
- Read a book - this has to be an age-old way of relaxing. Why not try something feel-good to get the ultimate relaxed feeling!
There are lots more I could list but these are my favourites! So chill :)
